    Restrictions and cautions

    Restrictions

    If no media images are mounted, the KVM window automatically closes when the HDM Web session times out.

    Each browser can establish only one session with HDM. If you attempt to establish two concurrent sessions from the same browser with different usernames, the first session will automatically end when the second session is established.

    For the new HDM firmware to take effect, restart HDM after update. The system will write the flash memory during the restart.

    This version is available for all supported servers in this document.

    Make sure pop-ups are allowed on the browser.

    Upgrade restrictions and guidelines

    Make sure the software versions are compatible with each other. For more information, see "Hardware and software compatibility matrix."

    As a best practice, back up the configuration before you update the firmware. For more information, see "(Optional) Backing up the current configuration."

    To update both HDM and the BIOS, update HDM first.

    Make sure the server operates correctly or is powered off during BIOS or HDM update.

    During the update, make sure the network connection is available and do not refresh the Webpage.

    To avoid HDM or operating system errors, do not power on or power off the server during the firmware update.

    After the firmware is updated, delete the browsing history before you re-log in to HDM. For more information, see "Clearing the browser cache."

    Resolved problems in HDM2-1.64

    Symptom: HDM fails to obtain temperature information when the server is installed with H3C network adapters and other network adapters with a low probability.

    Condition: This symptom might occur if the server is installed with H3C network adapters and other network adapters.

    Symptom: The fans are operating at a high speed when the server is installed with the Lpe35000&35002 network adapter.

    Condition: This symptom might occur if the server is installed with the Lpe35000&35002 network adapter.

    Symptom: After you log in to HDM, if any page is idle for a period of time, clicking on a specific module again will result in failure to obtain information, and then failure to navigate the page properly. 

    Condition: This symptom might occur if you log in to HDM and leave the webpage idle for about seven minutes.

    Symptom: When you set the power mode to load balancing on the R5500 G6 Intel/R5300 G6 server, and then perform a stress test, use ipmitool sdr elist to view sensor information. Then, the current of the PSUx_Iout sensor might be displayed as 0 A.

    Condition: This symptom might occur if the power mode is set to load balancing on the R5500 G6 Intel/R5300 G6 server and a stress test is performed.

    Symptom: A mounting path is created on the NFS server of the latest version 1.2.66. However, after the path is mounted to HDM, the system cannot obtain images.

    Condition: This symptom might occur if HDM is mounted to the path created on NFS-1.2.66.

    Symptom: After you click the CPLD restart button for the R5300 G6, the operation log mistakenly reports a log message that indicates the security bezel is removed.

    Condition: This symptom might occur if you click the CPLD restart button for the R5300 G6.

    Symptom: When iHDT scandump is used on the R4950 G6, HDM will crash and restart.

    Condition: This symptom might occur if iHDT scandump is used on the R4950 G6.

    Symptom: The memory alarm messages occurring on the R4950 G6 fail to locate the slot numbers of faulty DIMMs.

    Condition: This symptom might occur if memory alarm messages occur on the R4950 G6.
